My names is Maaike and for as long as I can remember, I’ve loved being creative. Whilst being in a corporate profession, I completed an interior design course in evening school. I love sewing, crochet, knitting and creating things by hand.

And I love designing cards... it started with small, personal projects: designing my own wedding invitations, creating birth announcements for my children (a tradition close to my Belgian roots), tracking my daughters' milestones with bespoke photos, making birthday and Christmas cards for family and friends. Each time, I received such encouraging feedback that it planted a seed: perhaps this passion could grow into something more.

After spending two decades working in the world of data, I realised I was ready for an new chapter, one that would let me pair creativity with purpose. Graphic design became that natural step, allowing me to bring ideas to life and help others celebrate their own special moments through beautiful, thoughtful design.

Now based in Folkestone by the sea, I draw daily inspiration from the outdoors. Whether it’s running along the coastline, paddleboarding, or walking the beach with my two children. That sense of freedom, energy, and joy is something I aim to capture in every design I create, whether it’s a bespoke commission or a ready-made piece.
